about your host

Hi, I’m Lauren. I can’t wait to help you succeed in your spiritual life and relationships with God, yourself and others!

Lauren Stewart was a prodigal child of God and has been on her own Spirit & Truth journey ever since she has "returned home". After living apart from God for nearly 14 years, she needed healing from her past and harmful habits. She needed spiritual freedom. When Lauren sought biblical counsel, she was told that there was no one to help her. Lauren was greatly grieved, and she cried out to God asking Him, "WHY? Why is there no one to help me when YOU are the answer to everything?" It was in that moment that God spoke to her saying, "Lauren, you will be one where My people, who are called by My name, will be able to come and find freedom and healing in My name." From that moment on, she understood why she had been called by God into His Kingdom, for such a time as this! She pursued healing with Jesus and followed the Lord's leading. She knew that she was not only going to receive her own healing, but that the Lord would be equipping her to minister to others, as well as be a safe place for them to do the same. Lauren is passionate about seeing believers walk in their God-given identity, authority and Kingdom purpose. She has been helping people in Jesus for over seven years. She aids in areas of spiritual warfare, deliverance, hindered spiritual growth, relational conflicts, unforgiveness, anxiety, grief/loss and so much more. Lauren partners with Jesus in Spirit & Truth, utilizing Biblical Truths and Spiritual Gifts to minister freedom and healing to His people. “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is FREEDOM!” (2 Corinthians 3:17)

Lauren has a diploma in Christian Counseling through Light University and American Association of Christian Counselors.

Courses include: -- Caring for People God's Way --Breaking Free -- Extraordinary Women

Lauren is a trained Seminar Coordinator for Family Foundations International Ministry (FFI). Together, Keith and Lauren Stewart serve on the FFI School of Ministry leadership team, where they minister and help others learn the process of partnering with Jesus in prayer. They also conduct weekend seminar events for both men and women, married couples and singles. Seminars include: --Powerful Spirit & Truth-led Teachings and Prayer Ministry --Facilitating Small Group Holy Spirit Prayer-- Partnering with Jesus, our Wonderful Counselor.

Lauren has walked many through Neil T. Anderson's "Steps to Freedom" through Set Free Ministries

With her family’s help and support, Lauren has led large community prayer gatherings for the local and surrounding area churches in Cadillac, MI.

By invitation, Lauren has been a speaker of the Lord's messages to Harbor View tenants for their Sunday evening worship service.

Lauren enjoys Inductive Bible Study and has studied God's Word through Precept Ministry for over 10 years.

Lauren has facilitated other prayer groups and women's Bible studies as well.

Meet the stewarts

Keith & Lauren Stewart have been married for over 12 years and together, over 14. Keith and Lauren often minister alongside each other during seminars, events and other sessions, when appropriate. They have two teenage children whom they love to spend time with and to watch grow into who God has created them to be. They live just outside a small town, near Luther Michigan. Their story is one of the redemption that's found in Jesus alone!

Our nonprofit ministry/church exists to provide, local and online (long distance), Christian Counseling Sessions, Prayer Ministry Encounters, Spiritual Freedom-Deliverance, Soul Care Healing and Spiritual Growth Mentorship and Teaching for those who hunger and thirst for the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Glory to GOD!

Spirit & Truth Mentoring has been and is dedicated to God the Father, is under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the direction of His Holy Spirit; it is the Lord's ministry.

The bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, perfect, authoritative Word of God, inspired by His Holy Spirit. It has supreme authority in all matters, is relevant in every generation, and is able to fully be understood under the guidance and illumination of the Holy Spirit.

THE TRINITY

We believe the one, true God manifests Himself in three persons - Father, Son and The Holy Spirit. God is all powerful and all knowing. He is the origin of life and created all things and because of Him all things exist. He is worthy of our wholehearted worship, obedience and praise. Him be the glory and honor forever- amen!

THE DEITY OF JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the Godhead of Jesus Christ. His virgin birth, His sinless life, His ministry and miracles on earth, His sacrificial death for all sinners, His bodily resurrection, His complete victory over the powers of Satan and demons, His appearance to many after His resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His promised Holy Spirit to all those who believe in Him.

Salvation

Salvation is the working of God's grace through faith, not by human works or good deeds. It involves the redemption of the whole person, spirit (alive to God at the moment of salvation), soul (a new heart, being sanctified by the truth), body (glorified and immortal at resurrection). Salvation is offered freely to all who believe in their heart and confess with their mouth, Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus. Those whom God has accepted in Christ, and sanctifies by His Spirit, will never fall away from the state of grace, but shall persevere to the end. This includes evidence of rebirth, a work of God’s grace whereby believers become new creatures in Christ Jesus. Rebirth is a change of heart brought by the Holy Spirit through conviction of sin, to which the sinner responds in repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Repentance is a genuine turning from a sinful lifestyle toward God and His righteousness. Faith is the full acceptance of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is the fully divine Spirit of God. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit. He convicts mankind of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He calls mankind to salvation through the gospel of Jesus Christ and carries out their rebirth and spiritual growth. At the moment of rebirth, He baptizes each believer into the body of Christ. He is our teacher and counselor guiding us into all truth, He nurtures our Christian character, comforts believers, and gives us spiritual gifts for service within the body of Christ and to evangelize to the lost (unbelievers). He lives within every believer and is our seal and grantee of the things yet to come, promised by God. He confirms with our human spirit that we are indeed children of God. He enlightens and empowers each believer in true worship, evangelism, and service to His kingdom.

THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available today and working in the body of Jesus Christ, to His glory and our good.

healing

We believe that healing was provided for the human spirit, soul, and body in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Baptism and holy communion

We believe in the ordinance of baptism in water (by immersion) in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Baptism being a public deliration of the reality of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and new life, new heart in Christ Jesus. This leading to a transformed life in Christ Jesus. We also believe in the practice of Holy Communion, a time of self-examination and remembrance. The bread is a symbol of Yeshua's body beaten for our transgressions and the cup a symbol of Yeshua's blood which paid the forgiveness of our sins and satisfied the wrath of God on our behalf.

Heaven & Hell

We believe in the reality of both heaven and hell, and in the resurrection of both the saved (believers) and the lost (unbelievers). The saved, resurrected to eternal life, with God and the lost, to eternal judgment/destruction, apart from God.

unity AMONGST believers

We believe and promote spiritual unity of all who believe in our Lord and Savior, Jesus. All those who worship Him in Spirit & in Truth. We believe the church consists of people who believe in their hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess with their mouths, Jesus is Lord. Their lives bear fruit as they seek His Kingdom and His righteousness with all their heart. Loving God, loving people and serving the world, in the strength of His might.
